Hey , first of all congratulations on finishing the challenge , now let's start

    Lines

You're making great use of the ghosting method and your lines look confident, straight and smoothly drawn. Good job!

great that you did the hatching to alot of your boxes , they look much better like this, some the hatching lines are abit rushed though so I'd recommend taking you're time with it .

I see that you didn't add any lightweight in your boxes , I know it's not a rule, but it really makes you're boxes pop and look better, also it's a good super imposed lines exercise.

    Convergences

One big thing I noticed is that there is no red line for the back side of the box, which I think takes from the purpose of the exercise because you can't see how all the lines are currently converging together.

When it comes to your box constructions there's not much to point out as you've done really well and your convergences improve as you move through the challenge. There's always a thing or two to improve though, so here are a few things I believe will make your boxes better:

Sometimes your back corners are converging in pairs instead of as a set.

Varying the range of box sizes and shapes, while you attempt some different box shapes such as flat boxes and rectangular boxes it'd be nice to see some more long and rectangular boxes from you, most of your boxes are square like.

    Final Thoughts

Overall, you've done really well in this challenge and have shown noticeable improvement. I believe that you're ready for Lesson 2.

Note : i also need a critique in my work so please check it out if you have the time , here is the link

It would've been nice if you varied the foreshortening rate of your boxes throughout the challenge, many of your boxes are in similar perspective and most of them have their vanishing points inside the page, it would have been nice to see some more boxes with subtle convergences from you.

    Lines

You're making great use of the ghosting method and your lines look confident, straight and smoothly drawn. Good job!

Your hatching is haphazardly done in the first boxes but it starts to be less accurate as you move forward.

I see that you didn't add any lightweight in your boxes , I know it's not a rule, but it really makes you're boxes pop and look better, also it's a good super imposed lines exercise.

First of all Thank you for the critique

And yes I think I misunderstood the purpose of the red lines and used a ruler.

Though I only used it with red lines, and I used no ruler and only the ghosting method for the box .

I thought it should be done with the ruler to see the difference between my lines (the box ) and right lines (red line) , I know is seems stupid know that I think about it.

I'll try not to do this in the future :-) ,

Thank you and appreciate you taking the time .

    Hello

    • lines : overall confident and continuously smooth line , but some of the lines curve a little and are not as confident.

    • a few of the eclipses undershoots the line that supposed to touch by a bit , so some ellipses warm-up in the future I think will help.

    • overall I think you understood the purpose of exercises and preformed accordingly .

And I think you're ready for the next challenge.

i also need some critics on my assignments to move to the challenge, please help me with that.

    250 boxes challenge

    Hey

    • overall I think you understood the purpose of the exercises and preformed accordingly.

-mostly confident smooth lines but not always , this will improve with warm-ups eventually, as long as you use your shoulder and be as confident as possible.

    • boxes are a little bit random in orientation , the 250 boxes challenge will help with that.

i also need some critics on my assignments to move to the challenge, please help me with that.

    Hey

    • overall I think you did well ,it seems that you understood the purpose of the exercises and preformed accordingly.

In the boxes exercises the lines seem a little less confident, and a bit rushed but maybe I'm wrong, but either way I think that will get better with the 250 boxes challenge and 10-15 min warm-ups before you're future exercises .

i also need some critics on my assignments to move to the challenge, please help me with that.

    Hey

Good, overall I think you understood the purpose of the exercises and preformed accordingly.

I'd advise to try make your lines more confident and smooth, I think a 10-15 min warm-ups before the coming exercises can help with that.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
