Honestly i didnt really feel like that demo and explanation made me understand any better. Cars are so much more complicated and different. An example of how you construct a car with orthographics would be awesome but maybe apart of the challenge is figuring it out on your own. And subdividing and carrying over orthographics into a drawing where the landmarks arent flat again a plane but inside the box not approximating makes the page so visually noisy it takes hours to find and double check that im starting a line in the right place.

Im sorry, i feel really stupid not understanding and overcomplicating things.

Hey uncomfortable, im really struggling with this do you have any examples of doing a vehicle like this? Or what sort of strategy you would take on? I feel like im wasting my time and just feel terrible. VeeDraws and Lordneds work are insane im surprised theirs didnt take longer, i have spent 20 hrs on this one and it looks terrible and very visually noisy and no where near done. But i also dont think they employed this strategy. Anyways, please help im not good enough to do this alone without spending ridiculous amounts of time attempting and restarting without losing my mind and feeling terrible in the process.

haahaaaaa yeah the tiger among some other things are definitely not my best work, but i did get better as i did more. I think alot of the masses i add might be too complicated of a shape and i should instead break them down into more masses maybe. But being sketchy is definitely a big problem of mine alongside holding back from trying to fix something im not happy with by adding a bunch of stuff. I want to keep doing these and get better, get more comfortable and apply everything i have learnt and read.

Once again your critiques go above and beyond i am really grateful, everything you say seems to connect with what i feel i struggle with, i appreciate the awareness and insight you give me.

    Thank you!

Thanks for an awesome thorough critique. I will definitely keep this on my toolbar and read this many times to absorb all the useful information and diagrams. You're 100% right with the mistakes im making and this has made me understand them more alongside how to apply proper construction.

Thank you i appreciate your hard work!

Occasionally* i would slip up and quickly redo a line out of habit after it not coming out the way i intended. Some of my elipses are a bit messed, but i did make more of an effort to breathe and ghost lines but i lack consistency.

I was a bit nervous and panicky at the start of each exercise but it got smoother and better.

I was probably a bit lazy with the foliage on the bonsai but i was a bit unsure how to do it properly without making it visually noisy and cluttered.

I really appreciate the in depth critique and apologize in repeating mistakes.

This time i tried to press my pen more firmly so lines didnt break, and i tried to take more time with things like the hatching and the exercises in general.

I shift in and out of understanding how firm i need to hold my pen, how to use my whole arm and how firm and fast i move on the paper so its a bit inconsistent in some parts with ellipses where i wasnt holding tight enough and my hand will spasm randomly or be too shaky but im slowly learning.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
