Well, there is a lot to say to keep this as short as possible, why did you start drawing? if I had to guess because you had fun with it.

Although drawbox has a pretty rigorous method of teaching you the fundamentals, it is still about drawing at the end of the day.

I urge you to find the fun in all the exercises you do, doing lesson 3, draw plants in your free time, observe leaves in real life. Follow the instructions in lessons like instructed but always do them in a way, where you do not hate your life.

Remember drawing takes practice and patience, be kind to yourself and enjoy yourself , and I am sure you will do just fine.Hope this helps

    Cheers,

First of all, thank you for your input, I really appreciate it, but man I think I lost a few brain cells trying to understand the concepts in that link.

I do not really get the station point and how to keep it 60 degrees like the human vision. Ignoring all that, I do not know what a dutch angle is but; I think you realized what I am trying to do with my shity distorted boxes, which is rotating them on werid angles.

Do you mind elaborating further or perhaps pointing me to resources? Thank you.

p.s I know a lot of this is unnecessary for the 250box challenge but to be frank I care much more about understanding perspective and rotating the boxes, than completing the challenge, so throw any "advanced resource" at me if it means more exp in perspective.

    Hello Rob,

Thank you for the detailed feedback.

Here are the revisions, one page of rough perspective and one extra page of funnels.

I am honestly not satisfied with my work, but I did not want to linger, so I am handing it in.

    Rough perspective:

I realized the first time around I tilted my boxes; I fixed that this time;however, I am still having trouble following through with my boxes confidently especially after noticing mistakes within the first strokes.

Ellipses and circles:just more practice espcially,on large ones.

Look forward to your reply. Please do not hesitate to make me redo any exercise, I will continue to practice estimating vanishing points and elipses anyway, but I just wanna make sure I am up to standard before moving on.

    Cheers,

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
