    thank you!

How to simplify, to be exact? I showed early versions of my sausages in discord and someone said me that there are too clean and unnaturally ideal.

Hey, Jess, sorry for long response, but I just to appreciate your effort putted in critique. That helped me to ensure my work. Thanks a lot!

    Great work!

    You line quality indeed improved.

You can try to improve your drawing posture by holding your pen differently and drawing lines in most comfortable position to you (With more confidence you will extend selection of drawing positions). Also you can rotate piece of paper (Lesson 0 or lesson 1 introduction have deeper information about this).

Now feel free to endurance you skills in 250 boxes challenge.

    Next Steps:

Good luck in 250 challenge. If you feel exhausted or lost and unmotivated you can always take a break or ask a question in drawabox discord. There are nice people around here.

Can you use imgur or google drive or something like that as alternative?

Hey, Utlumarat, your lines look nice and pretty confident. It seems like you used ghosted method in every exercise which is great!

I see that in rough and organic perspective exercises you drew over your lines in some places. I understand that perspective lessons might be too frustrating right now but try not to do that. Pinning point and ghosting lines to it might help here.

Other then that i see no obvious mistakes here. Your work is good. Feel free to do 250 boxes challenge.

    Herr we go:

Starting with lines, they look good. Your lines look pretty smooth and confident. In super imposed exercise your lines start from single point, which is good.

But in perspective session your lines become much worse. Is that because you didn't use ghosted method? If so be sure to draw every straight line using ghosted method.

Ellipses look a little wobble. This might happen because you didn't used ghosted method here or didn't activate your shoulder pivot. Other then that it look like you try to keep it within the bounds and repeat each ellipse 3 times. That is good.

Perspective section look decent. Your main mistakes here is wobble lines and 3x3 box grid in rotated boxes exercise ( 5x5 is preferable)

    Next Steps:

To be sure that you understood lesson correctly I would like to see one page of any ellipses exercise. Remember to use ghosted method when dealing with ellipses and lines

It looks like you draw over your lines in rotated boxes exercise. You absolutely should not do that.

Other than that you work is good. I especially like your ellipses.

    Next Steps:

Previous commenter doesn't check your work as complete, but I'm pretty sure you good to go.

mentioned that you should keep practicing you straight lines and I'm absolutely agreed with him. Remember to use ghosted method to draw a line.

Good luck in 250 boxes challenge!

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
