I would say don't try and fix a line if you feel like you messed it up even. Also try and be a bit more fluid and confident when you do the organic forms with the shadows. Don't put anything on your spheres, just try and imagine how the forms intersect into it as it is. Texture is well done, as well as all the concepts that the exercises are trying to teach. Just work on making the line work cleaner and I would say you are more than able to keep going.

I kept re-reading this critique and the lesson. I'm not sure If I'm applying the exact methods correctly. I understand their concepts, but I feel like I run into problems of certain textures and constructions where I just don't know how to apply certain instructions. Let me know, I don't care if I have to redo this 10 times.

arrows are a lot better you really got the perspective down pretty well for those. However, your lines on the form intersection are still wobbly I think you can get it down if you just keep practicing and make sure to take your time on doing the next lesson. Look at some other submissions that deal with the form intersections and pay attention to the lines (you can even look at mine if you like) and it's ok if you miss the line you're trying to connect together as long as they're solid, so you're good for now.

keep warming up by doing some ghosted line and straight forms. also practice ellipses extensively.
So, you got a few of the organic arrows to show perspective, but I think you should try to compress them more and show a bit more foreshortening. You also seem to be wobbly on the arrows as well as the form intersections. You should've had one page of just boxes and done some hatching to show faces. You're lines ae extremely wobbly on the Form intersections and all of your lines are very bulky which is basically showing that you're not ghosting lines and you're too scared of messing it up. I feel like you could've done better on the texture analysis the texture is very loose and not really clear. The stone and crumpled paper looks very similiar and the crab skin doesn't look very clear either. To be fair the texture dissections look pretty good, just make sure you are making the texture implicit. For example, the disco ball texture would we considered explicit and that's not what this course wants. The ice cream texture would be and example of implicit texture which is well done there. The organic intersections looks like they had better more confident line work which is good, but I think your shadows need a little better understanding. Make sure you read the instructions carefully and re-read them if need be. I think if you had an official critique they wouldn't let you move on without any additional steps. I suggest you really go over lesson one on linework and practice that for a while. Then you should do 2 pages of form intersections again and 1 page of the organic arrows and try to focus on the foreshortening and the linework maybe even do a couple pages on the side if you have to (that's what I had to do when trying to correct mine). While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.
The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
