    Excellent!

    Next Steps:

I advise you to continue on the 250 box challenge.

Additionally, I suggest the following whilst completing it.

Review the directions thoroughly and often whilst completing the challenge, I learned the importance of this from experience.

    Hello, and welcome to drawabox!

First off, I am also a beginner, so, you should take my critique with a pinch of salt.

I will divide this into three sections

    Lines

The lines in the ghosted planes exercise are somewhat wobbly.

    Be sure to...

    1. Always prioritize confidence over accuracy when drawing lines for drawabox exercises.

    2. Use only your arm to draw lines within drawabox.

You have completed the exercise to the best of your ability, with practice, you willmprove.

    Ellipses

Overall, your ellipses are very good, however, on the funnels, they do not always fit the funnel.

However, it's more important to draw the ellipse confidently than accurately, so if fitting it closer inside the funnel would impact your ability to draw it smoothly and confidently, then don't worry about it.

    Boxes

There is not much to be said about this, your boxes are drawn to the best of your current ability, and they seem to follow instructions.

    Next Steps:

I suggest you complete the 250 box challenge.

    • I suggest you re-read the directions (and re-watch the video) consistently to be sure that you are completing the challenge correctly.

    • I also suggest that you have your boxes reviewed in some way before completing a significant number of them, for example, posting a photograph to the drawabox Discord server. I suggest this because it would allow you to pick up on any mistakes and get the most out of the challenge before completing an entire 250 boxes.

    Good luck!

    Hello, and welcome to Drawabox!

First of all, I want to say that I am also a beginner, so you should take my critique with a pinch of salt.

I will split my critique into 3 sections.

    Lines

You have drawn the ghosted lines to the best of your ability, and with enough practice, you will be able to reduce the wobbly lines that I notice on the ghosted lines and (to a lesser extent) on the ghosted planes exercise. Remember: always prioritize confidence over accuracy.

I also notice repeating lines, which is evident in the ghosted planes exercise, which should be avoided for drawabox exercises, even if the initial line is far off.

(Just to be clear, ellipses should be drawn 2 full times in drawabox, however, not ghosted lines.)

    Ellipses

There are no errors that I notice with ellipses, they all seem to be drawn correctly, and with confidence. Great job!

    Boxes

I notice that one of your Rough Perspective exercises does not use the line extension method. This is important for checking if your boxes allign with the vanishing point correctly.

    Next Steps:

I would suggest that you complete another page of Rough Perspective, using the line extension method.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to critique my work.

I have actually been doing warmups daily (3 activities that I have previously completed selected by a random number generator), but that is good advice nonetheless.

I followed the advice and re-did rough perspective https://imgur.com/a/jLJC5rD. I will be sure to practice consistently on ghosting lines.

    Thanks again!

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
