Hello Slyx, thank you so much for your comment.

While I was extending the lines that weren't there and reviewing all my excercises, I found a couple of mistakes on some of them so I could correct them properly.

It's nice to have feedback, thank you !

Good job, I think you have understood well how to divide the planes and thus draw the shapes and details correctly in place.

Except for the scotch tape that I think the hole goes further back, maybe you can correct it later.

The dimensions of the boxes where the objects are inserted seem to me well proportioned, so the objects seem to have an appropriate shape. I have that speaker too, and I think you got it right!

The final lines that are supposed to be the gradient may not work as well for objects 7 and 8 as they do for the speaker or the charger. i think it doesn't work on 7 and 8 because it doesn't look subtle as in the first three objects. They look like a print to me.

I hope i got to serve in something, good work Slyx!!

Feel free to give me feedback or comment on any of my exercises.

    See you!

    Hello SLYX!

I think you understood correctly the excercise.

I like how you constructed the arms with fluidity.

Segmentations on the abdomen takes practice and a careful observation, despite the bumblebee the others read well.

It's nice you analize your own excercises, I can't say anything you haven't already said, except well done!!

Good luck and let's keep drawing!

    Hello ZELL_VN!

First of all, I think you have done a great job!

I find your leaves really good and also your branches, maybe making a bigger separation between the ellipses will help you see better the branch. But what I said before, they are fine.

I liked the flowers you picked, you treated them delicately and the construction is really working.

The aloe has complex leaves, I also struggled with them. Your drawing reads well in 3d space.

About the grapes, they just needed to be treated more subtle with contact shadows.

Good job! Keep patience, keep your brain active while drawing and go on!

    Next Steps:

You should start lesson 4, and continue practicing.

Hi! What I really meant was that you should pay attention to the angles when you start drawing a box. I think that your work is fine, and I see that you are making progress and gaining confidence in your lines.

Maybe a better suggestion than making the organic perspective is to just practice drawing some boxes from time to time.

    Good luck!

    Hi Pluto!

I've seen your excercise and it's difficult to see clearly the boxes in some pages due to the lines of correction. Despite all of that, I realized that many of your boxes have something in common that might be causing you problems. That is in the three angles which form the corner that are the closest to the viewer. Each one of this angles are always going to be greater than 90º. I'm telling you this because I am following a rule which is explained here https://drawabox.com/lesson/1/17/step2 . Starting a box with this simple "Y" rule, and then adding the next steps, will make it easier for you.

I I've also had trouble with the enclosing of the boxes, it is completely normal, what i did was trying to find out with the ghosting method, putting a point and then adjust it by putting another one if i wasn't happy with the first one.

    I hope I've helped.

    Congratulations and keep on drawing!

    Next Steps:

If I were you I would give a try at this simple excercise using the "Y" method and see how it goes.

    Dear Irainam,

I already have two pages of Organic Perspective on my Imgur post, maybe it didn't load well.

Thank you a lot, I was not expecting to recieve an answer since I uploaded it time ago.

I just completed the 250 boxes challenge, I'll also appreciate if you take a look.

I will look at your excercises and comment.

    Thank you! :)

Try to keep it as smooth as posible, always using the Ghosting method.

    Next Steps:

    2 pages of Ghosted Planes.

2 pages of Ellipses in Planes.

2 pages of Ellipses in Funnels.

¡Hola!

The Art of Blizzard Entertainment

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
