Thank you so much for taking the time to write this critique, Im very happy to start whit lesson 2!!
I will do my best to work about my line weight, is has been always a hard topic for me!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this critique, Im very happy to start whit lesson 2!!
I will do my best to work about my line weight, is has been always a hard topic for me!
Your welcome!
hope to see you around whit your 250 Boxes!
Good luck!
Hello, Im Sasmosaw (or Drawmosaw), Im here to take a look at your work!
Lines
Superimposed Lines
I do see a little bit of wobbles, remember to ghost your lines, when you draw them make a quick and confident strike movement (https://drawabox.com/comic/1), I can see a some archs, remember to use your shoulder as a pivot, if you are still getting those archs then try to arch consciously to the opposite direction while drawing
Even though you achieved to get relative accurate lines, congratulations!
Ghosted Lines/Ghosted Planes
This looks very precise, but as I said early I see some wobble(Just a little bit and just in some lines) , Im worried that you may be doing this lines not by muscle memory but whit your conscious brain, avoid this!
prioritize confidence over precision!
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses
Overall they look pretty god!
some ellipses look kinda misshapen, try to ghost your ellipses until you develop the necessary muscle memory before drawing the ellipse.
Ellipses in Planes
Nothing to say here that haven't I said before
Funnels
Pretty good, ellipses are snug in there and the minor axis is cutting almost every ellipse in half, nice work!
Boxes
Plotted Perspective
Nothing to say here, I can tell that you get the point of this exercise
Rough perspective
As you said, this lines looks more wobbly, remember, the planning phase of making a box is made in the moment you draw your dots, once you are drawing the line you should only think about the lines, so this lines shouldn't be different from the one in the ghosted lines exercise.
Other than that, these looks good, you followed instructions as you were told to do
Don't worry about getting perspective perfect just yet, you will tackle this kinda mater later
Rotated Boxes
Your boxes are okey here, they are rotating, and they are snug!
Organic Perspective
I feel like there are to many parallel lines, especially in the "far away zone"
But I also see several converging lines, so I think that this wasn't in purpose, so I will consider this one as correct
Just keep in mind that every line should be converging to some vanishing point away from the point of view
Overall your work looks pretty good to me!
Don't stress about perspective, at least not yet
You can (and should) move on to the 250 Box challenge now!, remember to use some of this exercise as warmups!
Next Steps:
You can (and should) move on to the 250 Box challenge now!, remember to use some of this exercise as warmups!
I forget to say something about superimposed lines
I noticed that you didn't try any arch nor wave, you should really try those!
good luck, and have a nice day!
Hello! im really happy to read that you decided to change the fate that your teacher imposed to you, I'll check your work!
Lines
Superimposed Lines
Overall It looks pretty solid, really good, only thing I would say is that I see some arching in some lines, make sure you are using your shoulder as a pivot, if you are still getting arch then try to arch consciously to the opposite direction while drawing.
Ghosted Lines/Ghosted Planes
All looks really good here, your lines looks both confident and precise, which is really hard to pull off in lesson 1, congratulations! you are overshooting/undershooting sometimes, but that's okey! you'll get better at that whit time!
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses
Your ellipses looks wobbly and kinda imprecise, some of your ellipses are not touching the bounds, other ones are out of bounds, next time try to ghost your ellipses more time, the fact that you are getting 2 ellipses considerably different even tough you drew trough your ellipses it may be caused because you didn't get a muscle memory totally develop just yet, and remember, prioritize confident over accuracy, don't hesitate
Don't worry about your mistake so much, this is totally normal!!
Ellipses are very tricky, this doesn't mean that your exercise is wrong on the contrary, you followed instruction very well, you'll get better whit time!
Ellipses in Planes
Nothing to add here, second page looks better
Funnels
Overall they looks great and snug, just keep in mind that the minor axis should always be cutting your ellipses in half
Boxes
Plotted Perspective
I can see that you understood the point of this exercise!
Just bee careful whit your paper, I see that you drop a little bit of water in your page
Rough Perspective
You did well here!
Just keep in mind that you shouldn't correct your lines if they are wrong, just pretend they are right and keep going
Rotated Boxes
This looks pretty good!
Though this is not part of the exercise I need to say that if you are going to hatch your lines don't connect the lines in the hatching
other than that, your boxes are rotating and looks solid, and snug, you use your boxes to draw all the other ones
nicely done!
Organic Perspective
Good work here too!
I see some parallel lines, you should avoid that, but don't worry you will tackle perspective in depth in the 250 Box challenge
Also, I would say that the boxes that are closer to the point of view should be a bigger, but that is nothing that important
Overall you did a great work!
If you keep training the abilities and mindset that you acquire in lesson 1 you'll get better and better, just don't stop training and learning, keep doing some of these exercise as warm ups, ellipses in planes will come in handy to practice your lines and ellipses try to superimpose the lines of the planes.
You can go to the 250 Box challenge now! remember to use the exercise of this lesson as warm ups, good luck!
I hope to see your 250 Box challenge submission in the future!
Next Steps:

That looks so much better as far as perspective goes!
You totally get the point this time, Just keep in mind to be careful whit your lines, never forget nor stop training the abilities and mindset that you learned in the lesson 1!
I'll mark your Lesson as complete
You can go to the 250 Box challenge now!
Good luck!

Remember to use these exercise as warm ups!
good luck!
I hope to see your 250 Box challenge!
Hello, Im gonna check your submission now
lines
Superimposed Lines
I can see that some of your lines are fraying in both ends, be very careful about that, don't rush things, place your pencil always at the same starting point, I can see some arching too, remember to use your shoulder as a pivot, if it still persists, you can try to arch consciously to the opposite direction while drawing
Ghosted Lines
Overall this looks really good, your lines looks confident and precise, Just keep in mind to make sure you're positioning your pen correctly, some lines aren't totally marked
Ghosted Planes
I don't have anything to say here that I haven't said earlier, pretty good!
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses
Even tho the limit to draw over your ellipses is 3, you are not forced to do it, I almost don't see any wobble, but there are some especially in the most circular ones, remember to ghost your ellipses until you are really sure on how is the motion supposed to be, remember prioritize confident over accuracy , some of your ellipses are out of bounds, be careful about that, don't rush things, take your time in these exercise.
Ellipses in Planes
Don't draw through your ellipses more than 3 times, and some of your ellipses aren't touching the bounds of the planes
funnels
Some of your minor axis are a little off, remember, minor axis should be cutting ellipses in half, even tho, you achieved to draw your ellipses snug and in bound almost every time, congratulations!, that is not easy
Boxes
Plotted Perspective
Nothing to say here, I can tell that you get the point of this
Rough Perspective
Overall you did really good here, you were kinda precise, but some of your boxes look wobbly, remember, never lose confident in your lines, first you place your dots, is in that moment when you have to think, once you start marking your lines you only have to think about that, also, if you made a mistake in your lines don't try to fix it, just pretend that is okey and keep going
Rotated Boxes
It looks really good, and try to do the outline of your boxes a little more thick so it easy to read, and the part that are behind other boxes thinner
Organic Perspective
I see too many parallel lines and lines converging to the wrong direction, the point of this exercise is that you start to think about the 3D space and perspective, lines are supposed to be converging at some vanishing point (away from the point of view), I suggest to read the lesson once again and try again this exercise, don't get bummed out because of this, is just a little mistake, you did all your earlier work really good!
Overall your work looks really good, I just think that you should redo a page of organic perspective having in mind that the lines should be converging away from the point of view.
Next Steps:
Redo a page of organic perspective having in mind the convergence of lines.
Hello! Im here to take a look at your work!
Lines
Superimposed Lines
I can see that you are fraying some of your lines a little bit in the starting point, and some of your lines are arching a little, remember to use your shoulder as a pivot, if you still are getting the arch's then try to arch consciously to the opposite direction while drawing , nothing looks too bad tho, overall you did good here
Ghosted Lines
You did great here! the only thing I would say is that maybe, your dots where a little big, but just a little, nothing really important
Ghosted Planes
I don't have much to say here, they look good!
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses
Overall they look good, I can tell that you tried to be precise and confident, maybe try to ghost a little more your ellipses so they don't get out of bounds
Ellipses in Planes
you missed some of the points and sometimes you drew you ellipses out of bounds, but this is normal at this level, so don't worry to much about that, you did a nice job here!
funnels
Be careful whit the minor axis, it should cut the ellipses by half, that's the point of this exercise, but overall they looks good to me.
Boxes
Plotted Perspective
Everything looks good here
Rough Perspective
Overall you did well here, some lines looks kinda wobbly, remember to keep confident!, plan were your line is going to be whit your dots, when you are drawing the line just focus on that.
Rotated Boxes
Some of your boxes are not close enough, I can see this problem in the top left and rigth at the same time some of your boxes are colliding together, have the same face for 2 boxes (right side), other than that they look good to me
Organic Perspective
I see parallel lines, remember that all your lines should be converging at some vanishing point, everything else look good.
Overall your work is good, you can go to the 250 Box challenge now!
Remember to use these exercises as a warm-up
Next Steps:
Go to the 250 Box challenge now!

Hello! Im here to take a look at your work
Lines
Superimposed Lines
I see that you are fraying in both ends sometimes (first page, rigth side fifth line, second page penultimate line), be carefull about that, remember to place your pencil always at the same starting point, also, I can see that you are arching some of your lines, remember to use your shoulder as a pivot, if you are using your shoulder and yet you are getting arching lines then remember to do a "counter arch" consciously to counteract the natural arch
Ghosted Lines
everything looks pretty good here! nice work, only thing I would say is try not to do so big point, becouse is kinda cheating, the "target" is kinda to big, but I don't think you did it to cheat, just keep in mind that you don't need to make points so big.
Ghosted Planes
your planes looks very good!
nice work!
Ellipses
Tables of Ellipses
Overall they look very good, only thing I would say is to try to keep your ellipses between the bounds
Ellipses in Planes
Really good job here, they look great and snug, but some ellipses looks a little wobbly (top left for example), but they are the least.
Funnels
Overall you did a great job here, I only would say that the minor axis in the left one look kinda off, and you could have drawn one ellipse more in the middle one.
Boxes
Plotted Perspective
Nothing to say here, I can tell you get the point of this exercise
Rough Perspective
Remember not to try to fix your lines if you messed up one, just pretend that is okey and keep going, other than that I would say that it looks pretty good to me, you totally get the point of this and follow the instruction at you was told to do
Rotated Boxes
Remember to make the outline a little more thick so is easier to read, I would say that your lines look kinda wobbly here, in the top rigth side some of your boxes don't look like they are one next to the other, not at the same height at least, take that in mind, but do not worry to much about that jus yet
Organic Perspective
Overall they look pretty good, some of your vanishing points look like they are in the wrong direction, but don't worry about that, I can tell that you were thinking about 3D space and perspective when you did this, and that is enough
Over all your works looks pretty good, good job!! I will mark this as Lesson complete
You can go to the 250 Box challenge now, remeber to use some of this exercise as warmups!

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
