Hi, thanks a lot and done :)

I will add the sausages to my warmups and keep practicing lineweight, I definitely see the difference when I apply it to my sketches etc for instance.

Thanks again for the critique and have a good day!

Hi, no problem thanks for the answer, I want to improve so its appreciated.

Thank god I didnt have to redo the textures though, that is so time consuming :)

Yeah I was very confused when it came down to the shadows in the textures, because the examples didnt always seem like shadows to me, for example when it came down to fur. I will keep that in mind when doing the plant textures in lesson 3.

I have trouble with the sausages wrapping around, I am not fully satisified with them but I did a few iterations of the pages already, I also seem to have a habit of drawing them snakelike...

For the intersections, I do have trouble understanding them. I think a got a glimpse of the understanding when I read about them being contour lines on both forms, but it is still melting my brain quite a bit so they ar eprobably still quite off :P

Btw for the organic arrows, my pens were starting to be very low on ink, hence why the lines can be so faint sometimes.

Thanks a lot and let me know if I need to redo some things again.

There seems to be some wobbliness here:

But since the later exercises have more confident lines I think its fine, you seem to be getting the hang of it. Just keep in mind than accuracy is less important than confidence for now. :)

I see some repeating lines here a bit of wobbliness too. So basically like above, keep in mind than confidence matters most.

Also make sure to not go over a line to try to fix it, not sure if this is what happened here :P

The rest looks good to me. Just be a bit more confident in your lines.

Also remember to plot your lines. You seem to do it in the planes exercises but not sure if you do it on the cubes.

    Next Steps:

Start the 250 boxes challenge and keep these two things in mind:

    1. Confident lines

    2. Keep plotting your points. This will be very important as you try to make your lines converge to the vanishing points here :)

    Good luck!

Just one last thing: make sure to only add lineweight to the part of the line that overlaps another ;)

    Hello Penguine !

    1.Lines & Ghosted planes

Your lines are smooth and confident, and your accuracy is also quite strong most of the time.

You also plotted all your lines it seems, which is very important. Make sure to keep doing this even as your confidence increases even more.

    1. Ellipses

Again quite smooth and confident and also good accuracy. I noticed that you didn't draw the minor axis in some funnels, make sure to add it for all.

The only funnel where the minor axis doesn't cut the middle much is because the axis is not drawing in the middle, otherwise I think it would have cut correctly so all good. Maybe use a ruler next time, I personally always needed one for this :p

    1. Boxes

You drew a piece of furniture here, which personally I am ok with because it's the only one and it's a challenge I guess but I remember Uncomfortable saying that we should avoid doodling on the side of exercises, so not sure if this is "allowed" or not.

My recommendation would be to keep this to a minimum and use the 50% rule for these things on the side :)

On the 2nd plotted perspective there is a second horizon line, I guess that's a mistake and we should ignore it or is intended ?

One edge is very off but overall you are quite close to the VP.

Overall this looks very good to me, will mark it as complete.

    Next Steps:

    Continue with the 250 boxes

Thank you for your critique! Here's the requested exercises

Okay, I think my lines are more confident now, for the organic perspective, I am ot sur eif I rotated the boxes enough, but some have weird corners because I was trying to be a bit more novel in the rotations :P Hopefully the overlap is not confusing, I hesitated to add more wieght because it could mess with the lines.

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
