Congratulations on so many levels! Even though I'm taking a long break from the lessons, I'm very happy that I found this and I am proud of the progress I've made and will make in the future thanks to your help.. :)

I noticed something else.. You say that my boxes in my box challenge are way better.. It's because I don't care much about proportions but when I try to draw my camera, I suddenly have to care about proportions.. I tried this small camera several times, I have many sheets of paper with failed attempts because I have big troubles to get the proportions right.. It's already starting with my first stroke.. I'm uncertain which stroke I have to put down first to get it right. Even with the ghosting method I just can't figure it out..

I just put a small reminder in my cellphone to make it easier on me to know that it's time to practice.. haha

wish you all the best in finding some sense.. to me it's basically just living..

I'm thankful for your critiques, but it's also very frustrating because I'm at my limits here.. I drew for hours and hours and I still can't get it right.. I see my issues but seem not to be able to solve them.. :/

anyway thanks

Yeah. I struggled a lot with the everyday objects lesson.. I don't draw very often..once a month maybe. no wonder I'm not improving.. heh..

I was actually thinking about paying more.. It would help me to keep at it, because lately I'm pretty lazy on that matter.. Even though you end free critiques, all your work, the lessons and the forum itself will stay online (I suppose?) and many will be thankful for that.

And don't forget to recover from surgery between all that work!

I'm very grateful for what you're doing. There is nothing even remotely comparable to your work and I hope you'll find ways to deal with this tremendous amount of work.. wish you all the best

I've been doing the same. Got an album with many demos on my desktop.. :)

I joined your patreons.. Not only because I don't want to wait, but because i was thinking about for a while and you're doing a really good job and I'm so grateful for it. I don't have much but I want to be a part of it.. the more the better. :)

Thanks for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

Sorry, if I sound rude, i'm still lacking good english skills.

I find it hard to build up forms just the way you explained it. Mostly because I don't see the point of this. Of course I will do it because I really want to get better and maybe I will understand it in the process.

How will building up forms like this help me in future lessons or in general? Is it about the understanding how forms work in 3D space?

Thank you for your time! I'm glad I can improve my work. :)

And thanks for preparing demos for your students. I already collected some from other comments.

Thanks for taking so much time to review my homework. it's really helping. slowly but yeah :)

I only used felt tip for this. (fineliner from stabilo, point 88, fine 0,4)

I did the last two yesterday and the other 4 on the day before that, so I guess I just used pressure differently.

It's hard for me to show shadows and such, so I tend to overuse black on that parts (like with the sunflower). Still figuring out how to use it effectively.

Thanks!

Would it help me if I start drawing after your examples (the drawings) to get the forms right? When I look at other drawings I seem to understand what is needed but when I try it on my own with real reference photos, I'm getting blind for 3D forms. I don't know.

You mean those broken lines in my first attempt? I figured that it might be bad so I quit doing it in my second try.

Would you advise to do the cylinder challenge first before moving on to organic forms?

this took me forever.. I redid the the whole thing because I'm so sloppy and impatient..

I still mess up a lot and on page 4 you can see I had a pretty bad day. I quit adding line weights because I used it to cover up mistakes.
