If you go back to my critique of your first attempt at Lesson 5, you'll find this lengthy section on head construction. You'll also find this at the top of the tiger head demo which points you to the same informal head construction demo.

You need to review all the feedback I've given you thus far.

Unfortunately I am unable to see how these head constructions are at all reflective of the approach I keep referring you to. I decided that rather than trying to point out the discrepancies between what I've shared with you previously and how you approach your head constructions, it might be more straightforward to simply create this demonstration for you. That said, it ended up being very similar in approach to what was shown in the rhino head demo I provided before in my original feedback.

I did notice that the reference image you provided was very, very low resolution. It may have been downscaled when you uploaded it, but do be sure to avoid working with low resolution images, as they make it vastly more difficult to identify what's going on in the image.

Another thing that you may want to keep in mind is that as shown in the rhino demo and this newer tapir demo, some structures have to be built up in stages. For example, on the tapir one, I started with a much smaller, simpler muzzle structure to at least establish it as something I could build off. This matches the informal head construction demo more closely, but may not be as obvious in looking at your tapir reference. But, as you can see, we steadily build upon it to build out the different structures, one step at a time.

Instead of drawing many animals again, I draw an animal to see if I am getting it

If these replies are going beyond what you offer, I will gladly compensate you for your troubles.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
