Hi there! You've done a p good attempt overall. Lines are clean, you're doing a good job applying hatching and you're applying the ghosting well too.

The main thing is that you've mostly focused on extreme perspective boxes and didn't draw many shallow perspective boxes. And the shallow perspective boxes that you drew I have a feeling that you were trying to make lines parallel and not converge, because they have a tendency to be parallel or diverge. All sets of parallel lines in reality (and not after being affected by perspective or being in a drawing) have to converge and get closer together, so they can't get away or be parallel.

Here's a step by step tutorial on how to draw a box with converging lines, so if you're confused about it give it a try.

Before moving on I want to amke suire you know how to draw shallow perspective boxes, as they're suuuuper important, so give me 20 more boxes with shallow perspective, I know it's tough to do more boxes but good luck! You can do it! Feel free to ping me in discord or ask here if you got any questions.

Next Steps:

20 boxes

hello Elodon,

sorry for the really late reply i really got busy with other stuff. here is the revision you asked of me.

250 box challenge ( Revision) https://imgur.com/gallery/BpmFp6a

it was really hard to find a balance between dramatic boxes and the boxes whose line do not appear parallel. hope i did good. any critics?

Hello! Good attempt on the boxes!

But All those boxes have convergence super extreme. On shallow perspective boxes the lines should be close to parallel, and the vanishing points should be far away from the page, never in the same page. Here's one example of a shallow perspective box from one of your boxes

Next Steps:

-20 more boxes with shallow perspective

here. i tried more of these. few mistakes here and there. and if you see double lines then they are not me correcting my mistakes. those came because i was ghosting.

let me know what you think?

Thanks

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
