Hi URAISAMU! Glad you had fun!

Some notes to keep in mind

Your beginning drawings seem very focused on the "trying to make pretty drawings" side. I can't critique those very well because there is too much texture for me to see the underlying forms

It seems you're using some markers in your work. It is good that you're experimenting with your tools, but DAB only allows fineliners till Lesson 6.

Main Parts of the Lesson

Additional Forms: Your additional forms seem 2D. It got better towards the end, but occasionally (like in areas like the neck and limbs or small additional forms) you have some that are 2D.

I think I said it pretty good in this post just skip to the additional forms section (if you are still confused just reply and tell me): https://drawabox.com/community/submission/ZN6Z6IWG/LE3R9M12

Next Steps:

It would help if you had some progress shots or some without texture and reference photos. My main nitpicks is how much texture there is. With what I have now you go on to the cylinder challenge! :D

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete. In order for the student to receive their completion badge, this critique will need 2 agreements from other members of the community.

Hey, thank you for your comments and review. I will definitely keep that in mind and be careful about using too much texture in the future!

No Problem!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
