ohh it was paid? I didn't realize. I was looking at some challenge submissions because i was overwhelmed and honestly lost while doing this challenge. I didn't really know where to focus but looking at some submissions at specifically this critique really helped me. so, if l dld something inapropriate I would like to apologize to you and the student. I am deeply sorry.

but seriously though this critique really helped but now I know I mooched of this student and feel very guilty damn it. textures don't make any sense on paper quite literally.

shouldn't the light rays angle get bigger as they go to the left? I don't think I understand this.

thank you for your very in depth critique

I always seem to struggle with what my process is and thinking in genaral I'll keep those things in mind

waiting for over a month for a critique has been a nuisance so I may have started lesson 6 a week ago

but other than that l'm very thankful for your critique your guidance really helped me during the lesson 5 submissions a well . so, see you in a month I guess

    contructions look solid.

but you don't draw thought your forms you don't use the sausage method for constuction and you don't draw a shadow to indicate the ground plane not taking advantedge of 3d space.

    Next Steps:

1 page of a bird of your own choosing

    1 page of a cow

first off i really admire your ambition into the hw. but you have a bit more work to go. first i'd recomend you get better quality paper. it was clrealy shooddy and i'd say get yourself a nice stack of printer paper and also put some paper underneath your drawing paper

other than that your sausage forms lack variety.

so more observation and deliberation is needed

    Next Steps:

    1 page of organic intersections

1 page of a wolf. Pay attention to your referance. make sure they look solid and prioratize construction over anything else.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
