Thanks for the pointers, I tried going for straighter lines(I lose it sometimes though) and I'll try incorporating a habit for it. For the ellipses I guess overshooting works better than undershooting. I got timid around the edges though cause I lost lines going off the page, I will still try to overshoot 'till I get it right . What do you think?

Hi! Congrats on finishing lesson 1

I see that you already have line confidence with your strokes though, you should maybe pause for a moment to put your pen on the dot where you started.

In your ghosted line they're very nice and straight although you shouldn't superimpose corrections highlighting every little mistakes because that piles up in a big drawing.

Your ellipses seem to have had hurried ghosting then just looping around to much hiding inaccuracies. Remember to ghost your ellipse once then pausing to remember it then make the corrections before putting the pen down. Don't make corrections once you put your pen down, instead loop again with your mistake and improvise then try something to make it more like the way you wanted in the next column.

In the rough perspective you go over your lines on every corner making it less 3d looking even with perspective though you seem to thicken more of the overlaps in the rotated boxes instead of the hidden lines which is good.

All in all practice improvising on your mistakes , instead of making a mess over a small mistake try to make better lines in the rest of the page and avoid correcting every tiny misdirection which you can work on in your warmups. Since your lines are already confident and straight, once you're ready to improvise you're good to go at the 250 Box challenge

    Next Steps:

The Cruible is waiting for you at the 250 box challenge after warmups in improvising different lines till accuracy

Nice work. You're on the way to line confidence a little wobblines though. You may be overthinking the lines accuracy once you put down the pen and rely a bit on your wrist and fingers. So I recommend warming up with superimposing your ghosted lines to get used to not looking at perfect accuracy but keeping the muscle memory.

Your ellipses are confident but you may not have ghosted properly and tried to correct the connections on the second loop. Try to ghost the ellipse one loop and stop then ghost again until you get it close then let your hand do it's thing once you put your pen down.

Your rough perspective are getting you the practice to think further than the line and you'll get more of that in the 250 box challenge

The rotated boxes needs a bit of reviewing because your boxes are changing sizes inconsistently, 1 box away from the center seemed to get bigger then the next it was drastically the opposite. Keep in mind the sizes of the closest box. You're not only rotating the box but moving it away from the center

And in your organic perspective, you'll study a bit more about that with the 250 box challenge. Keep it up!

    Next Steps:

Nice work. Your lines are towards it's way to confidence, just a little wobblines though which can be fixed by ghosting a bit more and removing your mind's decisions once you put the pen down to do the final.

    The wobblines ca

When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
