    Hi!

First, congrats on finishing the first lesson of the curriculum!

I also want to mention beforehand that english isn't my first language, so forgive me if I make any mistakes.

    LINES

The superimposed lines are mostly good. I noticed that some of them are slightly fraying in the beginning of the line so you should be careful with that, but it's not wobbly so it's good.

However, in the ghosted lines and in ghosted planes your lines are wobbly, keep in mind that the main focus is in confidence rather than accuracy. With practice your accuracy will get better. You also repeated lines, which is a mistake, even if it's off you should just continue as if it's correct.

    Ellipses

In the tables of ellipses some ellipses overlaps each other but i don't think it's much of a problem because it doesn't happen often. You also draw the ellipses confidently so good job! The accuracy will come naturally if you keep practicing it.

The mistakes that i see is in funnels, some of them have 2 minor axis which doesn't happen and some of them are not alligned to the minor axis.

    BOXES

Rough perspective is fine, the lines are really wobbly here but as I mentioned before, with practice they will get better.

The rotated box is also fine, it's a hard exercise but you did just fine.

In organic perspective you seemed to be kind of afraid to let some boxes overlap each other, it got better in the second page so i think it's fine.

    Next Steps:

Feel free to continue to the 250 boxes challenge. Before you begin drawing the boxes, I'd highly recommend that you do 15 minutes of warm-up of the lines and ellipses exercises, keeping in mind the tips that i gave you before. Good luck!

Thank you very much for your review! I was kind of confused and unsure with the extending lines, so thanks for the tips.

And yes, I did with a ballpoint pen because my fineliner wasn't working properly for some reason, but i found another one.

I'm unsure about the rough perspective, it still seems wobbly, but i tried my best.

Color and Light by James Gurney

Color and Light by James Gurney

Some of you may remember James Gurney's breathtaking work in the Dinotopia series. This is easily my favourite book on the topic of colour and light, and comes highly recommended by any artist worth their salt. While it speaks from the perspective of a traditional painter, the information in this book is invaluable for work in any medium.
