Thank you for the critique, I feel like I am still wrestling with how to apply line weight appropriately (you brought this up in the critique of lesson 3 as well). This time round I think I was trying to emphasize parts of the drawing using line weight as well as overlaps but just ended up getting carried away too much. Also I felt like I struggled a bit wrapping the added forms round the sausage armature legs even after studying the example images. I just couldn't see it in my head how to construct/wrap them around effectively.

Still, I'm looking forward to Lesson 5 so onward we go!

Thanks for the critique! I understand your points about my line weight and will try to judge the use of it more thoughtfully as I go into lesson 4. Looking forward to the next steps!

Thanks for the critique Tofu, lots of points for me to digest going forward. I think I bit off more than I could chew with some of the textures in the dissections. I struggled to draw what I was seeing using mostly cast shadows so ended up just drawing outlines. It's one of the many things for me to practice as I progress through the course!

Thanks for the feedback! I can't believe I missed the 5 - 6 boxes per page guideline in the lesson text, sorry about that!

I do try to submit my homework as ordered and neatly as I can so I'm annoyed with myself for presenting pages stuffed with too many boxes!!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
