Hi and welcome to DrawaBox Seeker, I´ll be reviewing your submission today so lets get started.

    Superimposed lines

The flow of your lines is consistent and confident, however, I can see that you´re sometimes struggling to maintain a consistent line and flow in the superimposed curves. Don´t worry this is normal and you will become more accurate with practice. I would recomend to slow down and use the ghosting method to really get the motion of the curve and then doing a fairly quick and confident stroke, also dont forget to rotate your page if you feel uncomfortable while ghosting your lines.

All in all, you did a pretty good job.

    Ghosted lines

Overall, also a pretty good job, remember to strive to conect the two marks with your line, personally I would advice do the points smaller so you can see more clearly if you hit the mark or not.

    Ghosted planes

Your lines are. for the most part, smooth and confident and I can see that you did the effort to try and fit your elipses, but it can be improved upon. Remember, the goal is to draw over your elipses while keeping an even shape and a confident smooth line. The ghosting method is also a great way to impove on your accuracy.

    Tables of elipses

Your lines started to become somewhat wobbly, while you did a good job keeping them snuggled togheter, your line quality suffered quite a bit, again, the ghosting method is the best way to improve your line quality .

    Funnels

While there is an improvement, some of the problems mentioned previously are still present. Keep working at it, you´ll get better.

    Plotted perspective

Not much to talk about her. Very well done, as you kept your boxes far away from their VPs (Vanishing points) to avoid distorting them.

    Rough perspective

Also very well done. I would still recomend to try and focus to make your lines parallel to each other, that is to say, think of them as groups of 4 lines all parallel to one another, at least in this case. Something that helped me with this is to ghost the line that I already did that I want to make a parallel pair of, then when I´m confindent with the motion, I do the stroke in the points I want it to be.

    Rotated boxes

A very impressive attempt at this challenge, your lines are confident and smooth and from what I can tell you did the objective of the challenge very well.

    Organic perspective

Your line quality is a very good start, however, here is more obvious that you struggle to converge pairs of parallel lines to their shared VP. Don´t worry because that is what the 250 box challenge is for.

To conclude, I would focus on your line quality when doing elipses and to aling pairs of parallel lines to a VP when constructing a box. I mark this lesson as complete and good luck with the 250 box challenge!

    Next Steps:

Try to work on your line accuracy during warmups but don´t grind at it. Other than that feel free to proceed to the 250 box challenge.

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

Oh, sorry for answering a little late. I´ve never used Imugr before and it´s my fault for not checking the link before submitting.

I hope I did it right this time and thanks in advance for reviewing my submission.

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
