Mouth-watering!
Mouth-watering!
IDK either, but I like the piece! lol
I like the perspective here and cute (but not impressed by Earthern cuisine) alien face.
Are those Freedom Flies??? #AmericanJokes
Ew, onions.
Hi, Rob!
Thank you so much both for taking the time to reply, and for your thorough feedback. I feel like your feedback matches how I felt about the exercises. I struggled the most with the rotated box exercise and went back and forth between feeling like I was understanding some fundamental, intuitive something only to lose it with the next box.
Your comment about the ellipsis was especially appreciated as I felt like they were off, but I couldn't figure out why that was.
I'm looking forward to starting the 250 Box Challenge (and less eager to redo the Rotated Boxes lol), but that'll wait until after the Spring Promptathon. ; )
Thank you again for sharing your knowledge and experience. I was very happy with your reply! (I'll also look at posting to imgur next time!)
While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.
The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
