After finishing 250 boxes, I still don't know how to recognize my mistake pattern.

I can feel something is not right, but can't pinpoint what exactly is wrong.

At first, my boxes were too align with each other. There were no perspectives in my boxes.

Therefore, I try to tilt each dimensions a bit in order to get it right.

Oftentimes, I ended up with foreshortening boxes or the inner lines were way off the targets.

Help I can get it right in the future exercises...Any CC are welcome. Many Thanks!!

Those are much better, nice job. I think thats enough to move onto lesson 2

Next Steps:

You should move onto lesson 2. I would add boxes to your pool of warm up exercises so you can keep improving your convergences.

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

So most of your lines are extending in the wrong direction, they're coming towards the viewer instead of away towards the vanishing point. Uncomfortable has examples of this here https://drawabox.com/lesson/250boxes

For example when you can see the top plane of a box the lines converge downward if you see the bottom they converge upward.

Next Steps:

I would suggest re-reading the box lesson and then doing atleast 15 - 20 more boxes with correct convergences.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hi, NITSUJ0 thank you for the reply...

I finally get the direction right, but I am still struggling with correct convergences...

Anyway, here is my re-draw boxes with the right direction.

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
