I reused the ghosted planes exercise for ellipses in ghosted planes. Please consider them as different exercises while critiquing.

Welcome to Drawabox! I'll seperate the critique here.

Lines

Super imposed lines have some common errors for the first page, but from what I see, your second page seems to be even better than before, just the longer lines seem to fray towards the end. Really like the arching lines you did, they are very well drawn. Other than the common mistakes, these are very great! Same goes for the ghosted lines and planes, I can see a few mistakes here and there but I can see that you are gaining confidence as you draw more and more, so congrats!

Ellipses

Very great work here, most of these ellipses are very well drawn. You are clearly comfortable with curved lines. There are few mistakes here and there, but they are very minor. There are a few ellipses that are off in Planes and Funnels, but other than that, I'd say you did a great job here.

Boxes

Very well done here as well. I really like your Rotated Boxes exercise. They are consistent. I'd say the only problem with it is that you didn't really push on the rotated aspect, but it's visible you have an idea of space, so great job! And the cross hathichng is very well done as well. On the Rough Perspective, there are a few mistakes here and there, your line confidence seems to not be consistent here, but you made quick work of it with the Organinc perspective.

Overall

Great work here! Just remember to plan your lines and don't forget about the 50/50 rule. You should always remember to have fun while drawing. Ask anything if you need or have questions about something. I think you can continue to the 250 box challenge, remember to read carefully what you have to do and have fun!

Next Steps:

You can continue with the 250 box challenge.

I have two additional observations to share with you. In the rotated boxes exercise, I noticed that you drew four additional boxes - one on each side on the x-axis and y-axis. This makes it look a little bit like a cross. If you want to achieve each rotation, the result should look like a sphere. This can be done with 5x5 boxes (like in the reference) or with 7x7 boxes, but not with 5x5 boxes plus four boxes on the axis. Therefore, these four extra boxes are not needed or 20 boxes are missing.

In the organic perspective exercise, I noticed that many of the boxes are distorted. The parallel lines are not running towards the vanishing point away from the viewer. As you progress through the 250 box challenge, you will have more opportunities to practice and gain a better understanding of this concept. So, no problem here as you will have 250 additional chances to improve your skills."

Thanks man for this critique. I'll take a good look on my perspective next time. I struggle with Vanishing points but I have observed that as I draw more and more and keep track if I'm doing it right way I improve. Thanks for this feedback. I'll try to correct my mistakes in 250 boc challenge.

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
