I'm too tired to write anything elaborate, I think I did ok. Just could've been faster if I managed my time better. This is my 2nd time submitting the lesson 2 as the first post has issues.

Looking forward to your critics :)

Hi, Gashif! :)

I think you've done a great job! There are few mistakes with the placement of shadows on the ribbons, but I feel like you already have a grasp of it, you just need to be more aware about the sides when marking shadows. And I'm marking this as completed. I'd recommend doing few more ribbons when you have free time.

Good luck!

Next Steps:

Just follow the next step provided on the site. :)

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

To add to what Binu said:

On the arrows specially the spaces between folds and the size of the folds aren't getting as big as they could, try to make them both grow exponentially.

The organic forms are pretty good, some of them are a bit pointy or bulge a bit, but other than that you're adhering to the simple form pretty well. Ellipses get a little bit wobbly as well, so don't forget that you should be focusing on confidence over accuracy.

Textures are overall well approached as well, just keep in mind that inside the form you can't draw silhouettes, only cast shadows, so you shouldn't have drawn the silhouette of every tentacle on the tentacle texture, only the parts that broke the silhouette.

Form intersections are pretty good overall, only thing is that some of your forms get into extreme perspective a bit. Keep in mind that in this exercise you should be drawing forms with consistent foreshortening as much as you can, to do this it's better if you make all of your forms have shallow foreshortening.

Lastly organic intersections is pretty solid. The only issue I have with it is that your forms are a bit complex at times. On this exercise you should have only simple forms, like the ones on the organic forms exercise, so no squished forms, or overly long forms with curves etc.

Overall this is a pretty good submission, so I agree with Binu in that you should move on to lesson 3, good luck! :D

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
