Thanks for critiquing my work :)

  • I see what you mean by the boxes in the rotated boxes exercise.

Honestly I was too confused at how to place the corner ones because uncomfortable didn’t quite explain it. But I’ll try my best to improve.

  • In organic perspective I didn’t use a pencil instead I used a ball point pen and the marks are of the ghosting I did before actually drawing the lines.

  • Sorry for the poor presentation of my work it was my first time.

I’d make sure to number them accordingly.

And I wanted to ask something:-

  • Should I redo rotated boxes before going onto 250 boxes?

(Sorry for poor English it Isn’t my first language…)

Hi!

It's great you didn't use the pencil, a little bit of marks after ghosting is ok!

I think it would be great to redo rotated boxes, trying to keep the distances consistent and narrow.

Your English is perfectly understandable for me, it's also not my native :)

Next Steps:

Rotated boxes 1 more try

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

This is a much better try! The corner boxes are a little bit closer to the viewer than they should be, but not much. Great job!

You can go to 250 box challenge now, good luck!

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
