Hello Bl4nk, welcome to the other side! I'll be looking over your work.

Convergences At first, you usually had one line converging way too early (or diverging) on every side of the box you were drawing but your convergences got cleaner over time. You extended your lines in the correct direction as well, great job! Although I will say, you still have some lines diverging in the later boxes. This is mainly caused by the placement of the inner corner. You can take a look here for a different technique for placing the inner corner.

Hatching Honestly, your hatching is pretty clean even in the beginning but you still managed to get more consistent and more accurate in the end.

Line Weight Just like before, your lines look great here too. Although I will say, I noticed some correction lines when you were applying line weight. That isn't a huge deal here but keep in mind that correcting your lines with ink will only make your mistakes more apparent.

Overall, you did an amazing job! I have a single complaint though. Even though you experimented with different box shapes, you generally drew your boxes from the same angle. You can take a look here for some inspiration.

I'll mark this challenge as complete. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me here or on discord with the same name, good luck!

Next Steps:

Move on to lesson 2 :)

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

Thanks for your time and critique, will look into these issues!

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
