Lesson 1: Lines, Ellipses and Boxes

First time doing Draw a Box since High School. Would really appreciate some critiques on this.
Hi GabePia34! Welcome back to DaB and congrats on completing lesson 1! I'll be reviewing your work per section.
Lines
Your superimposed lines are pretty good. They have a defined starting point and maintain a constant trajectoty. There is a bit of fraying at the ends but this is perfectly normal. Your ghosted planes are decent. You have repeated lines, no matter how off a line is, it should never be repeated. I recommend for you to do another page of these. I see a bit of improvement on the next page, but there are still some repeated lines. Your ghosted lines are also decent. You have overshot many of them, and there is a bit of wobble. Try drawing from your shoulder to help resolve this issue.
Ellipses
Your ghosted ellipses are good. You've properly drawn through them and they are round in shape. Your tables of ellipses are also good, they fit snugly in the boxes and touch each other without overlapping. They're smooth and show confidence. Your funnels are also pretty good. The minor axis successfully cuts the ellipses into two equal halves. Nice job on this section
Boxes
Your plotted perspective exercised looks a bit messy. But, you've grasped the major concepts of the exercise so good job on that. Your rough perspective exercise is pretty good. There are some mistakes on your linework, wobbling & arching. But, your line corrections hit very close to the VP. Your rotated boxes exercise is good. Your boxes are rotated properly, and I see a bit of improvement on your linework. Your organic perspective exercise is a nice attempt. There are some perspective issues, but they will be covered in the 250 box challenge so don't worry about that.
Overall, your exercises were decent. I'd recommend for you to do another page of ghosted planes and ghosted lines in order to strengthen your linework. You should also do 2-3 of these exercised for 5-10 minutes per day as a warm-up.
Next Steps:
One page of ghosted lines and one page of ghosted planes. These are to increase quality in line work.
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
