Superimposed Lines

Nothing to point out. They're mostly straight lines and they don't fray at the end.

Ghosted Lines

They're great lines. They don't arc and they aren't wobbly except for a few. Your lines touch both 2 dots too! They're both confident and accurate!

Ghosted Planes

Nothing to point out besides the fact that your lines were a bit wobblier in this exercise. On the second page, most of your planes look great (no wobbliness).

But you missed a small detail about the exercise, the little + that you do on the plane must be ghosted too and you forgot to place the dots to do so. I'm pretty sure you imagined them in your head but you must place them on the paper too.

Tables of Ellipses

Both pages look incredibly good! A small detail, some ellipses had different degrees. You want to have the red lines parallel to each other.

Ellipses in Planes

Well done. Actually, I'm not sure if we should or not deform the ellipses in the plane or not so I would recommend to someone to help me.

Funnels

Some ellipses look a bit too pointy. Also, some ellipses aren't devised into 2 even halves. It's more a problem of the position of the straight line than of the ellipses themselves.

Plotted Perspective

Great. Nothing to point out. It's practically impossible to do mistakes here, as long as the person follows the instructions correctly.

Rough Perspective

Your lines are wobblier than usual. Most of your lines pass near the vanishing point! And the vertical lines are - ... well... - vertical. Some people make oblique lines instead of vertical lines.

Rotated Boxes

This exercise was tough for me... So, some of your boxes don't seem to rotate. Some boxes feel out of place because you didn't use neighboring edges to help you place the dots on the correct spot. Hatching the sides and making the visible lines thicker would help too.

Organic Perspective

Looks good. Applying line-weight locally would help immensely to distinguish which is overlapping.

In short:

You respected the instructions carefully and you did the exercises correctly. Well done. :)

Next Steps:

Prepare yourself. It's time to draw 250 boxes. >:D

Don't forget to do warm-ups before every day. Pick 2 or 3 exercises from Lesson 1 and do them for 10-15 mins.

Thank you for your critique I appreciate it :) I did not catch that detail for the ghosted planes but obviously ill do that from now on as a warm up

Cottonwood Arts Sketchbooks

These are my favourite sketchbooks, hands down. Move aside Moleskine, you overpriced gimmick. These sketchbooks are made by entertainment industry professionals down in Los Angeles, with concept artists in mind. They have a wide variety of sketchbooks, such as toned sketchbooks that let you work both towards light and towards dark values, as well as books where every second sheet is a semitransparent vellum.
