Really great work!

The strokes look really confident and accurate on your straight lines in your first few assignments. It looks like there is a little less confidence and a couple wobbles in some of your ellipses on the Table of Ellipses assignments, but it seems like you found your stride once you got to the Ellipses in Planes. For the Rough Perspective, the boxes all look fairly good - there's a couple that look a little crooked, but overall it's a really successful assignment. The Rotated Boxes assignments looks really good - if you wanted to add to it, you could shade the inner planes of the box, but it's clear you have a good understanding of perspective. The only thing I would say to do before moving forward would be to draw through your boxes on the Organic Perspectives assignment. It's typically the trickiest part of the box, but also the most important in understanding/conveying the structure.

EDIT: Nevermind! I just realized the Organic Perspective assignment doesn't mention drawing through the boxes! I would call this assignment complete! Great work!

Next Steps:

The only thing I would say to do before moving forward would be to draw through your boxes on the Organic Perspectives assignment. It's typically the trickiest part of the box, but also the most important in understanding/conveying the structure.

Once you draw through those boxes, then move on to the 250 box challenge!

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
