Alriiight! This is actually my 2nd attempt of DAB and this is the farthest I've been. I am happy but not satisfied with some exercises (which is normal) especially exercise 9, hahaha. Anyway, your feedback will be highly appreciated. I am looking forward to more of DAB. Thank youuu! =)))

Your lines are confident and drawing through the ellipses is tight, but some of the ellipses aren't smooth enough.

Some of the lines in rough perspective aren't parallel nor perpendicular.

But you pass, just the rotated boxes... They aren't rotated enough ( esp, the top set of boxes) and the boxes in the middle are too thin. Overall all boxes needs more width between the front and back planes.

Next Steps:

Do the rotated boxes again. Use the homework example as a references

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Noted. Thanks for this! I'll include ellipses and rough perspective in my warm-ups. I'll submit my revision once I'm done.

Your lines are great and your ellipses too!

But i would recomend to read again the rotate boxes page and Boxes: Additional Notes. Try to undertand how you can rotate the boxes in a more significan way. Also don't be Afraid of making them a bit "longer".

The Art of Blizzard Entertainment

While I have a massive library of non-instructional art books I've collected over the years, there's only a handful that are actually important to me. This is one of them - so much so that I jammed my copy into my overstuffed backpack when flying back from my parents' house just so I could have it at my apartment. My back's been sore for a week.

The reason I hold this book in such high esteem is because of how it puts the relatively new field of game art into perspective, showing how concept art really just started off as crude sketches intended to communicate ideas to storytellers, designers and 3D modelers. How all of this focus on beautiful illustrations is really secondary to the core of a concept artist's job. A real eye-opener.
