Hello!

Congratulations on getting through your first lesson!

Critique:

Lines: Your lines are quite smooth, but the accuracy is not high. You can improve by practicing more.

Ellipses: The majority of your ellipses are smooth. Your ellipse needs to touch all four sides. With Funnels, the ellipse is quite aligned with the central minor axis line.

Boxes: Remember that width lines should be parallel to the horizon and height lines should be perpendicular to the horizon in rough perspective.

Rotated Boxes :the bottom of the box is not scaled correctly, and the boxes do not appear to have turned. (https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/d73eea49.jpg)

The rest of your work is quite good. I feel you are capable of doing even better.

Next Steps:

Now that you've completed the first stage, you may either continue practicing what I just mentioned or move on to the 250-box challenge. I'm confident you're prepared. Keep up the good work.

Hi Huong! Thanks for the critique. I forgot to inform in the post that I attempted the some exercises twice because I had a month's break in between due to exams. I should have used the latest attempts, but anyways, thank you. I have not attempted the boxes' exercises twice so we are good to go on that part, I will practice that. Thanks again.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
