thanks for the critique.

i agree with the first point. i have to remind myself that it's about confidence and not accuracy but when the line wasnt what i had in mind i feel compelled to 'correct' it. i'll work on stopping that habit.

i was getting a little frustrated with the ellipses because they seemed so volatile and difficult to ghost. that's why i was making the extra passes, but it didn't really fix much, lol. i'll stop that as well and work with what i put down.

i havent thought too much about pressure, but i'll keep it in mind when i move into the 250 box challenge. i didn't shadow on rotated because i mostly just wanted to get into organic perspective after spending an hour on it. i also wasnt aware of the proper spacing or quantity of the boxes in organic perspective.

i didn't realize that my notes and circles would be problematic, but i definitely see what you mean. that'll stop. i also didnt obtain the proper supplies for drawabox until halfway through this first lesson. i now have fine liners and a wet-medium sketchbook or two.

thanks again for the critique!

Glad you found my critique usefull, don't worry, you are making a great job, is normal to get frustrated the lessons are REALLY hard sometimes, so don't worry if they won't come as great as you thought and move on to keep having fun, good luck with the 250 box challenge, keep on it :)

How to Draw by Scott Robertson

How to Draw by Scott Robertson

When it comes to technical drawing, there's no one better than Scott Robertson. I regularly use this book as a reference when eyeballing my perspective just won't cut it anymore. Need to figure out exactly how to rotate an object in 3D space? How to project a shape in perspective? Look no further.
