Hello! I went through some drawabox lessons in 2016 and now I'm back to actually take this seriously, lol. Took me a couple days to finish this but I'm glad I did. As predicted, I had a few issues with the rotated boxes, but I think it's a least satisfactory. Anyway, thank you so much in advance for any and every constructive criticism

Lines :

Good superimposed lines . But are those longest lines really curve lines ? i hope you know that we need to draw the first line with ruler and then superimpose over them using ghosting method and from shoulder . if you know then , GREAT . if not then i advice you to read the chapter again , about lines.

Good job on ghosted lines and ghosted planes . They are excellent .

Ellipses :

You have a good starting in ellipses in plane , except you are not suppose to draw through circle more than 3 times. Your ellipses in table are loosely packed. But well done on drawing them confidently. same with funnel exercises , your elipses are supposed to be snugged properly . And i dont understand why you drew multiple minor axis on various funnels ,please dont do this. Incase you forgot , minor axis is supposed to be drawn with ruler .

Boxes :

plotted perspective is very well done.

rough perspective is "okay" . I think you'll learn more about it in 250 box challenge so dont worry.

oh and your rotated box isnt rotating at all . They all are facing the same way to the viewer . lines are okay but i think you havent grasped the idea of "rotating box" i suggest you to go back to it and learn more properly .

your organic perspective is very jumbled up . I dont see the idea of depth in it ( the fact that farther box should appear small and nearer box should be drawn bigger ) try drawing neatly and lesser box next time . Also you need to use lineweight to convey which boxes overlaps the other. ( Though you have done it in second row or first page , i dont see it in practise on other. again , the work is too jumbled )

Next Steps:

i'm sorry but i'll have to make you do rotated box , organic perspective again. This time be more careful and understand the subject matter properly . Also makw the organic perspective neater. You may submit the revision work in the reply , i'll view them and critique you . Good luck

Hi!

Nice work overall. I'm specificly impressed by your Rough Perspective. Even if they are off (like everybody else at this point), they all point in the right direction. Nice!

I would just suggest some issues:

  • Your superimposed lines are supposed to be superimposed on a straight first line! Anyway you seem to ghost and mark properly in the following exercise so don't bother rediong this stuff.

  • In your Organic Perspective, you should have done less boxes, but emphasize more the depth with bigger variation of scale. But the amount of boxes you draw is impressive, so I don't think if you would really benefit from redoing it.

  • Your rotated boxes isn't done properly : your front cubes aren't supposed to be on the same plane. This misconception of the instruction makes you miss the point of the exercise.

Otherwise it's a solid piece of work!

Next Steps:

I would suggest you to redo the Rotated Box exercise, be careful to re-read the instruction about the rotation (not the video) so you don't mess it. It's okay to do it poorly, but not wrongly.

Good luck!
