Hello whoever's reading may be reading this, thanks for looking at by drawbox assignments! I'd love any sort of criticism, it'd be very appreciated :)

My biggest concern is my approach to drawing boxes. Whenever I try to map out the corners with points they're always a little off and the ghosted line often misses the mark by a lot. In the later excercises (rough perspective, rotated boxes, organic perspective) I just freehanded most of the lines. I realised that this probably isn't the advised way of markmaking, and the results are mixed, but it is much more efficient and quicker. Advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

I think you only posted one image, either that or the link is glitchted, but I can only see the Super Imposed Lines.

Oh you're right, though I'm not sure how it happened. Should I re-upload with the working link? I'm not sure if I can edit my post. Thanks for letting me know though!

Yeah, I'm not sure if you can edit it though, it is probably okay to upload it again.

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
