No problem and no worries. In general a simple imgur link to your photos is the best. I like it when people submit their homework in order like you did. Do whatever floats your boat. I was just suggesting you don't make more work for yourself.

I really appreciate that! I'll remember to keep them in order too for the next challenges. How long have you been doing drawabox for? I'm really loving it and not even seeing it as a grind which is weird. It's nice being able to see concrete improvements and spot mistakes (with the help of feedback like yours).

About a year now. I hesitated to submit my first homework lesson until April. A big mistake. I thought I was messing up, so for days I just practiced doing lines, curves, boxes, cylinders. Big mistake. I probably grinded the first lesson material 20 - 30 times until I felt I had a version that was ready. Big mistake. I recommend becoming a patron to get official feedback. Later lessons getting community feedback is difficult. I think I have an idea to help, but my free time is a bit limited. Going through many lessons, it appears mistakes that people make seem to be related to the confusing navigation and spread out information. If we had a better consolidated information page listing all the required pages, I feel like more students would get it correct the first time. I begin to worry if I am being to harsh on people. Not to go on a tangent. Also, quick tip, make sure your fineliner is always producing a thick black line. I overused my pen and was getting a thin line. Others thought I was not using a 0.5 fine liner pen. I check my nib from time to time, and it becomes a bit sharp instead of round. This hurt me in future lessons. I can see why one would think this. When I was drawing curved lines, I was not getting a rich black line. Sometimes my line would not even stick to the paper.

I can see how that happens. At the end of the lesson 1 exercises (not including the 250 boxes) I felt like I wanted to do them all again because of all the mistakes. I'm nearly on box 200 and it's made that feeling stronger because it's helped me get much better already. But I guess that's the point, you bring your new skills forward instead of trying to redo everything before. It's a nice mindset shift for me.

Your comment inspired me to create a trello board with a list of all of the assignments in order, so I can see a visible overview of the progress I'm making, as well as feedback and tips: https://trello.com/b/BGnt37yg/drawabox

Amaaaazing tip about the fineliners, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out.

What makes you think you're being too harsh? When I read your feedback I was genuinely surprised by how thoughtful and in-depth it was. I had a look at some of the other community feedback and some of the comments were "this is fine", when I could see lots of the mistakes that you pointed out for me. I think great feedback has the intent of moving somewhere forward towards a goal that matters to them, which is the impression I got from your feedback.

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
