Congratulations on finishing Lesson 1!
My first time doing all the work, have done till lesson 6 but not finished all the work actually :v
It's best not to look ahead too far and do all the work first before continuing. You don't want to get into the trap of taking in large amounts of information without practicing it. It's going to take a while to get to Lesson 6, even if you've watched all the material. As Uncomfortable has said, Drawabox and learning to draw as a whole isn't a race or even a marathon, it's a journey. Take as much time as you need to take in and practice the material.
Lines
Your lines look good! Good job ghosting and completing them in one, confident stroke. Nothing much to say here.
Ellipses
Overall, your ellipses look quite good. For the Ellipses in Planes exercise, remember that it's better to have a nice, even ellipse that slightly misses the boundary lines than a slightly wobbly ellipse that gets exactly within the borders. This is especially an issue with the bottom-left ellipse on the second page. Ellipses should be more or less symmetrical. If there is visible lopsidedness, you've done something wrong.
Great job on Funnels! They're almost perfect, albeit the slight offset from the axis on the ones on the corner. I found these quite difficult when I was doing Lesson 1.
Boxes
There aren't any glaring issues with your boxes, you've understood the material. Trust me, you'll get a lot more practice once you do the 250 Box Challenge. Don't worry if your boxes aren't perfect, you have plenty more ahead of you. It does seem like your lines became more wobbly and less confident in the Boxes section (especially in Rough Perspective) compared to the Lines section, however. Remember, accuracy is not your goal, confidence is. Ghost your lines and execute them in one, clean stroke. It doesn't matter if you missed your mark a bit, your accuracy will improve with practice.
Next Steps:
Do one more page of Rough Perspective. Remember, accuracy is not your goal, confidence is. Ghost your lines and execute them in one, clean stroke. It doesn't matter if you missed your mark a bit, your accuracy will improve with practice.
this the one more page of my rough perspective
Looks all good! Best of luck on the 250 Box Challenge.
Next Steps:
Before moving on to Lesson 2, do the 250 Box Challenge.
thnx i will do my best
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
