Alright! So overall you've gotten the concepts down, good job! I made another video again to explain it but you've done a great job understanding the concepts of the lesson.

So now like I said in the video I want you to do 2 more animals so you get a bit of more of practice before moving on, good luck and keep up the good work!

Next Steps:

2 more pages of animals like the previous ones

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hello! Overall you've done a good job again, main thing is that on the sausage forms you're still missing some of them, and you aren't making them 2 balls connected by a tube of consistent width, sometimes the tube isn't consistent, sometimes the sasuage doesn't end in a ball, etc. Here are some examples on your first drawing and here on your second drawing.

Other than that you're still approaching well the other parts of the construction and are doing now well on the adittional forms, apart from that one I marked previously which you didn't draw through, but other than that I think you're doing well.

In general I think you got a good grasp of construction techniques for animals so I'll mark this as complete!

And as you got a good grasp of construciton already I recommend you that on these exercises you try to focus a bit more on proportions and a bit more on the perspective of the forms, like for example thinking about the perspective of the feet on the ground , it'll help you get the forms a bit more solid.

For proportions you can try to spend more time planning the initial forms observing before drawing the actual forms, or using dots to help you with a more accurate placement of them.

That being said, don't forget to ask any questions you might have and good luck on the cylinder challenge, keep up the good work!

(Next step is the cylinder challenge, I edited this because I wrote it wrong but can't change the next steps)

Next Steps:

Lesson 6

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 3 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

The recommendation below is an advertisement. Most of the links here are part of Amazon's affiliate program (unless otherwise stated), which helps support this website. It's also more than that - it's a hand-picked recommendation of something I've used myself. If you're interested, here is a full list.
Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
