Looks like your leaves and plant constructions are both coming along much better, although when tackling your branches, you're still running into some issues when it comes to where you're starting your next segment. As shown here, you're starting your segments at an arbitrary position a little ways before the previous segment's end. You need to be starting back at the previous ellipse.

Next Steps:

Try one more page of branches - and be sure to review these instructions more carefully.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Hi,

I hope this ones are a little better, as I somehow struggled with the bigger ones, I drew a few more on the back.

You're definitely doing a better job of applying the instructions. One small adjustment to make when practicing this exercise in the future is to try to overlap the last chunk of the previous segment more directly - actually using it as a runway - before shooting off towards the next target. This will make things harder, since you'll have to deal with any deviations/mistakes, rather than drawing your next segment where the previous one ought to have been, but it will also make the exercise more beneficial and will help you improve in that area more effectively.

I'll go ahead and mark this lesson as complete.

Next Steps:

Feel free to move onto lesson 4.

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
