thanks in advance to whoever reviews my work, i appreciate your feedback.

i am aware that i have line committment issues. many lines in my boxes are slightly curves. also my crosshatching is iffy all around because i'm not too familiar with it. working on all of those. they all have improved, but there's still a lot of work to do.

i am so so so so excited to get to lesson 2. i'm so sick of (JUST) boxes lol. it should get more gratifying from here on out

Congradulations on the completing the 250 box challenge

Lineart

Your line art is very good your lines are tight and acurate you have been using the ghosting method to support your. I saw the wobbles they're fine. But for future reference be sure to do some warmups relevent to what you are drawing for example before you started drawing the boxes you should have done some ghosted line practice and superimposed lines as a warmup.

Additionally I noticed a lack of lineweight on your boxes. when you finish box go over all the edges that would be visible to you if the box was right infront of you.

Boxes:

You made boxes of greate variety of boxes in different perspectives with varying degrees of distortions. Which is important later on down the road. You understand the concept of the vanishing point and made strides to ensure each set of lines converged to their corresponding line.

Goodwork I believe your are ready for lesson 2

Next Steps:

Complete lesson 2

This community member feels the lesson should be marked as complete, and 2 others agree. The student has earned their completion badge for this lesson and should feel confident in moving onto the next lesson.

i understand. i'm just about to critique Lesson 1s and i'm realizing how important line weight is. and good point about warming up - i treated my warmup as my first box of the page.

i appreciate your feedback, i'll work on those things

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

The Science of Deciding What You Should Draw

Right from when students hit the 50% rule early on in Lesson 0, they ask the same question - "What am I supposed to draw?"

It's not magic. We're made to think that when someone just whips off interesting things to draw, that they're gifted in a way that we are not. The problem isn't that we don't have ideas - it's that the ideas we have are so vague, they feel like nothing at all. In this course, we're going to look at how we can explore, pursue, and develop those fuzzy notions into something more concrete.
