I reuploaded all of the past exercises on one link because i separated them and i think i can be a bit confusing.

There's some that i did more than it was asked, but it was because i enjoyed doing them and also did them on another days for warm up.

Things i should have in mind before moving into the 250 box challenge?

Lines:

Overall, your lines section was very successful! Things that you did correctly throughout included ghosting/plotting out your lines, not fraying your lines at the start, and not trying to correct any mistakes you might've had. In your first few posts, your lines appeared to be a little arched, but this was fixed in further submissions! Consciously thinking about what you need to do to prevent an arched line can help you with this in the future, but you seem to have already corrected this yourself. Additionally, in your later line submissions, your lines consistently didn't fray at the end of you line. Good Job!

Ellipses:

Your ellipses were also done very well throughout the lesson! You managed to draw through your ellipses while managing to mostly keep them in the correct position. They were drawn confidently and smoothly which will greatly help you in future lessons! All in all, your ellipses section was really good and my only advice would be to consciously counteract the arches in your straight lines as before. Sometimes your lines looked a little wobbly, but not enough to warrant any issues!

Boxes:

Unsurprisingly, your boxes section was also very successful! You drew through your boxes when necessary (which will be crucial in the 250 box challenge) and overall did everything as asked! Pretty much nobody gets the rotated boxes assignment right on their first try, but you showed a great deal of understanding of how the boxes should be placed in relation to each other. Your organic perspective was great and I wouldn't change a thing and the same goes for your plotted perspective. Once again, I would just recommend taking your time on lines used in the rough perspective exercise, as they were a little bit wobbly. You will have plenty of time to do so in your 250 box challenge, which I recommend you do next as your lesson 1 was more than sufficient.

Next Steps:

Feel free to start the 250 Box challenge once you get two agrees on your post. Good luck!

Hello, i really appreciate your detailed critic! Thank you for your points you were really kind. I'll keep the "Consciously thinking about what you need to do to prevent an arched line" for future, i've been trying to use the elbow and shoulder and to curve my arm beforehand where i knew the curve tends to happen, so it seems like a very good tip to keep in mind.

I was being very mean to my elipses so i'm glad to know they weren't that bad, still i feel like i need to understand better how they sit in space to do propper cilynders bcs i can't figure that well, but i'll be patient and leave that to practice and future exercises c:

Still can't figure out how to counteract the arches of them, because it tends to happen on one side and i feel like i can only control one side mostly, i'll try to apply the elbow, shoulder in them, but any tips for this would be very welcomed.

I agree with the wobbly lines in the rough perspective exercise because i felt there that i was kinda unsure and doubting so it made my confidence in lines drop, i'll try that exercise as a warm up then in the future c:

My only complain is the inside of the boxes, it's the thing that make my head hurts hahah but i'll have to draw 250 so i guess i'll understand that better once i finish them.

Again thanks for your kind words and points, Have a great day Tminus!

The way I helped with preventing curves in my lines was by first ghosting my line a few times, placing my pen at the start of my line, immediatley looking at where I wanted my line to end, and drawing my line towards that quickly. Other than that, I'd say most of the issues that you have, like the inside of boxes, will be addressed as you continue through Drawabox. Good luck and I hope to see your posts again soon!

Overall it looks really good

Lines; All of your lines looks really good, you drew confidently with your shoulder, theres no fraying at the start at Superimposed Lines, Ghosted lines looks smooth, and you keep that quality till the end. Though I notice some lines correction so you should keep that in mind to not correct lines.

Ellipses: Your ellipses looks wobbly at first but then you progress as you went to the funnel exercises, really nice, and also you drew through the ellipses twice.

Boxes: By looking at your rotated boxes, I can tell that you understand perspective, but i dont know why you didnt draw through the form though at your organic boxes, but I mean thats not a big deal really about considering your rotated boxes quality.

I think youre ready for the 250 boxes

Hi Christoph

Thank you i appreciate your critic, i'll try to push myself to keep those lines going until the end then c: bcs sometimes i rush or doubt in some exercises and i should get my time. I don't understand what lines correction is, i guess it's hairy lines or changing my mind once i started them, so if that's what you mean i'll keep it in mind and try to go for one and one only at the time c:

I appreciate your kind words and that you've seen progression, it makes me happy to see they aren't that bad, still i have trouble to understand them as cilyndes and the same goes for boxes inside, but i'll be patient and leave that to future exercises and practice.

About organic boxes, i didn't knew i had to drew through them!! my bad, i followed the video tutorial and the page in the website but they were drawn only outside sides so i didn't do it, but it would be nice to try this exercise again as a warm up trying that so i'll keep it in mind, thanks! have a great one

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
