Hi! First of all it’s great that you drew through your forms, varied your boxes, and numbered them.

Now onto the critique.

Some of your lines are extended in the wrong direction. They must extend AWAY from the viewer. If you start by extending along each "arm" of the Y from that central point, you'll guarantee that you're extending them in the right direction. You should think where the lines converge and try to ghost your lines to the vanishing point before drawing them.

Also hatching is used to indicate the plane that faces the viewer.

Okay, thank you for your critique!

I was wondering if you could tell me what I should next. Should I draw more boxes? If so, how many? Of course, taking into account what you told me.

Or am I able to move onto Lesson two?

Thanks!

I think you should do 30 other boxes before moving onto lesson two.

Have a good day!

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
