Hi community,

I just finished lesson 1 and I would love some feedback on my work.

Do I introduce myself here? I am 29 and for most of my life I sinerely believed that I was simply artitistically untalented but I am a teacher and I firmly believe that you can learn everything through practice. So here I am learning to draw.

Thanks in advance

Hi! I'm super impressed with the fact that you did a much higher amount of boxes, planes and ellipses than the examples given in the lesson. I think you already know that not all of your ellipses and boxes are perfect, but this isn't the purpose of the course, what matters is that you showed you understood everything that was present and should proceed to the next lesson. Good Job!

Next Steps:

I suggest you finish the 250 box challenge before going into lesson 2

Thanks for your feedback! I definitely know that my boxes ellipses are not perfect. Good to hear that my work shows that I understood the principles.

Also I wanted to compliment you on your hand writting

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Faber Castell PITT Artist Pens

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
