I'm aware that I shouldn't use a pencil in one of those exercises.

Superimposed lines:

+Seems like you got the gist of this exercise, but keep in mind that your fraying is in both ends, this means you're not making an effort to really plan your lines out.Keep it in mind ofr future warm ups

Ghosted lines+Planes:

+Overall looks good, nice smooth confident lines, while you're still missing the dot by a bit, this is no big deal and it'll get better over time.

Ellipses:

+Your ellipses are nice, you're prioritizing smooth and confidant stroke over trying to fit them in,while the latter is also important, this is smt you'll get better with practice

Funnels:

+Nice ellipses but some of them arent aligned to the minor axis of the funnel shape, keep in mind that the minor axis always cut the ellipses into two equal half.

+BONUS: For future warm up,make sure the degree of your ellipses changes as they move out.

Boxes:

+Plotted Perspective: Followed all the instruction, overall very good.

Rough Perspective: Seems like you had a rough time with this one,you followed the instruction to the best of your ability so it's good, but here's what i think you should do for future warm up:

+Slow down, your lines plotting back to the horrizion lines are too messy, since there's no reason for messy lines cuz you're using a ruler? So im getting the vibe that you arent taking your time with this.

Organic perspective:

+Looks nice, not much to say here you did a good job on this one.

Rotated boxes:

I cant really see clearly what you're doin here, but from what i can see you're being very sloppy and messy plus the fact that you're using pencil shows you're not taking this exercises seriously.

I understand this is a TOUGH exercises designed to make you fail, but the most important thing is that you push through it and do it anyway. Dont be afraid of failing m8.

Also:You're NOT allowed to use pencil for any of the exercises on this course

Next Steps:

Redo the Rotated Boxes exercise in ink.

Move on to the 250 box challenge after you submit your rotated boxes for feedbacks

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

Really appreciate your feedback. I have done the rotated boxes exercise in ink and drawn the first 10 boxes of the 250 boxes challenge. I will take more time before doing each stroke from now on. Thank you very much!

These look solid! Your cubes could be more refined to give a better sense of shape and volume like you have with your cubes in perspective and ellipse work. I think this is a great start to this slog of a journey!

Like the Staedtlers, these also come in a set of multiple weights - the ones we use are F. One useful thing in these sets however (if you can't find the pens individually) is that some of the sets come with a brush pen (the B size). These can be helpful in filling out big black areas.

Still, I'd recommend buying these in person if you can, at a proper art supply store. They'll generally let you buy them individually, and also test them out beforehand to weed out any duds.
