Your new boxes look much cleaner, straighter and you got the perspective more accurately than the previous ones, but there's a little more work to be done regarding your inner corners: they did not meet up properly (I understand that it is hard to line up 2 VPs with one dot, but again this is why you practice them after all).

After putting the Y shape down, try to imagine the position of the VP in your head, then use the double dots method to draw the lines. Repeat the same process when you move to the inner corners, but be careful to not slip up.

Here's a little trick I do when unsure whether I've correctly placed my dots: After putting the Y shape down, before putting any pair of 2 dots as outlined in the guide provided to you, I would put the paper further away from eyesight (probably 50-60cm), narrow my eyes, then try to imagine the box you want it to be. After that, I place down the dots and repeat the steps to see if they have been correctly placed, and fix them if need be.

Next Steps:

Your results are good now. Draw 50 more boxes and I will mark your exercise as complete.

When finished, reply to this critique with your revisions.

I have finished the last 50 boxes. I apologize if the pages are out of order, I tried to keep them in order when I saved them to my PC.

Splendid results! Save for a few irregularities, your boxes line up well now. I have marked your work as complete, you can move on to Lesson 2

Staedtler Pigment Liners

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
