Welcome to drawabox, and a big congrats on completing Lesson 1. I’m TA Benj and I’ll be taking a look at it for you.
Starting with your superimposed lines, these are well done. They’re smooth, properly lined up at the start, and of a consistent trajectory. Your ghosted lines/planes are quite confident, too, and I’m pleased to see a taper at the end of them – it has the effect of making them look more dynamic.
Moving on to the ellipse section, the table of ellipses exercise is nicely done. You’ve drawn these ellipses with quite a light hand, and they’re all smooth, rounded, and drawn through. That said, try to hit the minimum 2 rotations that we recommend, rather than settling for 1 and change. The ellipses in planes look good – they do a good job of maintaining their prior smoothness/roundness, despite these more complicated frames. The funnels, too, are nicely done (if their frames a little scratchy, for some reason). Your ellipses here are snug, and properly cut in half by their axes – well done.
The plotted perspective exercise looks clean.
Page 1 of the rough perspective exercise looks a lot better than page 2, I notice, so I’m guessing that the pages are out of order, and you (understandably) improved over time, rather than got worse over time. If that’s indeed the case, then, the exercise starts off strong, and improves nicely throughout the set. By the end, your linework is confident, and your convergences on-point.
The rotated boxes exercise looks good. Its rotation is a little quick, so we don’t get to see much of the second layer (and the 4 diagonal boxes are entirely missing), but that’s understandable for a first attempt. More to the point, the boxes are snug, and they do a solid job of rotating. They’re not always properly draw through (in other words, their backsides aren’t always correct), but that’s what the upcoming box challenge is for, so no need to stress.
Speaking of boxes, the organic perspective exercise flows well, as per the increase in size, and consistent, shallow foreshortening of your boxes. The boxes themselves are well constructed, though I’d advise against both the overshooting, and the lineweight.
Next Steps:
I’ll be marking this lesson as complete. Head on over to the box challenge, and good luck!

Thx a lot Benji!
The Art of Brom
Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.
The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
