Wow. I can not believe I spent a entire month only drawing boxes. Well almost... trying to keep the 50/50 ratio but it gets adictive sometimes. And some other times, frustrating.

Through the challenge, I was really able to get some milage and feel now much more confident with my line. As far as the boxes are concerned, they are still not perfect but getting there ! Also, I feel like I leveld up my intuitive perspective game.

Glade to be back for more !

Hey Dyukunker, great effort on this lesson and glad you took your time drawing the boxes for the whole month, which helps the lessons stick better for you.

I would say given your progress you can move on to Lesson 2. I did notice you had a tendency to draw these really long boxes like 17 here or 230 here, which make it hard to test your convergences because the length of the side is so much longer than the other ones. I would say even though Uncomfortable doesn't make mention of not making one side much longer than the others, it is still possibly making your life harder in intuiting your perspective.

Either way, those final pages are looking good.

Next Steps:

Move on to lesson 2

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
