Hi Starrbazzle,

Thank you very much for the review. Took some time, but here are the second attempts at both the funnels and the organic perspective exercises:

I still feel very insecure when drawing ellipses, but at least the boxes are starting to take form. Getting the two ellipses to line up seems all but impossible for now. I trust the experience of Uncomfortable and the community here that this will get better, but right now it seems very far away.

In the meantime I have started with the boxes challenge, which has already helped somewhat with box perspectives, but I still have a long way to go.

Hello again Vazu,

thank you for resubmitting your work! They look much cleaner than your previous attempts. The ellipses of your funnels look much more even than your first submission, as well.

I still struggle with ellipses, too, but I feel that the line quality for my boxes has improved tremendously after 250 boxes. I'm hopeful that my work will get better as I continue draw a box, and I'm positive that the same will turn out for you too!

Good luck with the 250 box challenge!

Next Steps:

Continue with the 250 Box Challenge

Ellipse Master Template

Ellipse Master Template

This recommendation is really just for those of you who've reached lesson 6 and onwards.

I haven't found the actual brand you buy to matter much, so you may want to shop around. This one is a "master" template, which will give you a broad range of ellipse degrees and sizes (this one ranges between 0.25 inches and 1.5 inches), and is a good place to start. You may end up finding that this range limits the kinds of ellipses you draw, forcing you to work within those bounds, but it may still be worth it as full sets of ellipse guides can run you quite a bit more, simply due to the sizes and degrees that need to be covered.

No matter which brand of ellipse guide you decide to pick up, make sure they have little markings for the minor axes.
