Sure thing! I’m sorry you had to wait SOOO long for a critique on lesson one!! Just reply to this thread with the revisions when you’re done and I’ll check them out!

Everything here looks great! Your table of ellipses is varied and consistent, and your funnels have good, consistently widening ellipses. Your ellipses in planes are MUCH better - you should be very proud! They still have a little bit of that “egging” tendency, where one end it a bit wider than the other, but I think that’s normal and as long as you consistently work to make sure you’re drawing your ellipses symmetrically, it should improve with time.

Next Steps:

I think you’re well equipped to move on to the 250 box challenge! You’ve shown great progress with your ellipses and have shown a clear understanding of the basics.

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

Pentel Pocket Brush Pen

This is a remarkable little pen. Technically speaking, any brush pen of reasonable quality will do, but I'm especially fond of this one. It's incredibly difficult to draw with (especially at first) due to how much your stroke varies based on how much pressure you apply, and how you use it - but at the same time despite this frustration, it's also incredibly fun.

Moreover, due to the challenge of its use, it teaches you a lot about the nuances of one's stroke. These are the kinds of skills that one can carry over to standard felt tip pens, as well as to digital media. Really great for doodling and just enjoying yourself.
