oh boy i hope i actually progressed. feel like i need to do more since the lesson didn't really click until much later
Man, you really improved a lot.
In the first 20 seems pretty crazy and awry when your projected the lines. But later your really improved, but the shadows were in the wrong side.
Some boxes seems weird and not well structured until near the 70 box. I think that you didn't use the random box generator page, it was really helpful in this stage.
The 100 box page sames really nice, you have improved a lot. But it lack of diversity of the perspectives of the boxes. From here, the boxes were very well constructed, but seems all the same, i think you need to add more movement to the perspective points.
I think that you need to work on more exagerate perspectives like foreshortening. You started to doing it near the 200 box, and it was really good because you have well train the structure of the box.
Well done, now you have to do the lesson 2
Next Steps:
Do the 2nd lesson and work on more exagerate and diversity of perspectives.
A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.
In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
