Hello Yash,

2 filled pages of Superimposed lines - Good for the most part. Are you using a 0.5 fine liner pen? Please take the time to align your pen tip to the starting point before drawing any superimposed line. Most of your superimposed lines are good, but some have multiple starting points. Your pages have a lot of blank space. In general, you should attempt to fill up the page. I don't want to make you repeat this exercise, but keep this in mind for the next time you practice superimposed lines.

1 filled page of Ghosted lines - You appeared to have missed the starting point in some of your ghosted lines. You should always hit the starting point when ghosting and when you finally draw your line.

2 filled pages of Ghosted planes - I am assuming you reused your ghosted planes for the ellipses in planes exercise. Your ellipses are looking good.

2 filled pages of Tables of ellipses - Good. You may want to practice drawing larger ellipses. In general, drawing small encourages the use of the wrist and not your shoulder. In drawabox exercises, it helps to draw large instead of small.

2 filled pages of Ellipses in planes - Good, but you may want to spend more time ghosting your ellipses. Also, only draw through your ellipses two to three times. Some of your ellipses you drew through many times.

1 filled page of Ellipses in funnels - Looking good. Just to reiterate drawing larger ellipse funnels to draw larger ellipses may help you in the long run.

1 filled page of Plotted perspective - Looking good.

2 filled pages of Rough perspective - Good. When you revisit this in the future, you may want to draw large and medium boxes. Some of your smaller boxes have wobbly lines. I mentioned above how drawing small encourages the use of the wrist when we should be using the shoulder.

1 filled pages of Rotated boxes - You tried your best and you did pretty well. The next time you tackle this, use this as a reference: https://d15v304a6xpq4b.cloudfront.net/lesson_images/5f4fef59.jpg .

2 filled pages of Organic perspective - Nice. You will get better at this when you revisit it after the 250 box challenge.

Lars

No problem Yash!

The Art of Brom

The Art of Brom

Here we're getting into the subjective - Gerald Brom is one of my favourite artists (and a pretty fantastic novelist!). That said, if I recommended art books just for the beautiful images contained therein, my list of recommendations would be miles long.

The reason this book is close to my heart is because of its introduction, where Brom goes explains in detail just how he went from being an army brat to one of the most highly respected dark fantasy artists in the world today. I believe that one's work is flavoured by their life's experiences, and discovering the roots from which other artists hail can help give one perspective on their own beginnings, and perhaps their eventual destination as well.
