Superimposed lines: Well done. Some fraying on the end where you lift the pen, but nothing severe.

Ghosted lines: This is a really good start, and you avoided the mistakes that most people, including myself have made. Your lines are confident and you don't sacrifice confidence for accuracy. Your lines are not super accurate yet but this will come with practice. You're off to a great start.

Table of Ellipses: You made the most of your space and managed to get relatively clean ellipses. One of them on the top right was not drawn through but that's just one ellipse so it's no big deal.

Ellipses in Planes: Some of your ellipses don't touch the edges of the planes. Minor mistake. Overall good job.

Funnels: Your funnels are, for the most part, evenly divided across the minor axis. You could use a bit more changes in the degree of your ellipses, though.

Plotted perspective: Good job!

Rough Perspective: Really well done for a first attempt. Your boxes gradually improve in terms of roughly meeting the vanishing point, and your lines are confident as well.

Rotated Boxes: Really well done! It's clear that you used the neighboring boxes to accurately pinpoint the locations of the others with careful planning! And your lines are confident too! Excellent.

Organic Perspective: Your line confidence took a bit of a dip here, but your boxes do rotate freely in 3D space for the most part. the 250 box challenge will help you more with this.

You are off to a better start than most people who take this course. You should definitely be proud of yourself. And don't worry about overshooting your lines, accuracy comes with practice. You got the confidence down first, which I can safely say is the harder half, so you'll be fine in no time.

Next Steps:

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
