Hello Minnori, I hope you're doing well.

I'll be dividing this critique into 3 sections. Lines, Ellipses, and Boxes.

I'll be starting with your lines.

Overall, I think that your lines came out very well. I see that you're prioritizing getting confident and straight lines instead of accurate ones, so great job.

I also see that your superimposed line exercise came out fairly well. There isn't much fraying at the start. They're nicely done.

Moving onto your ellipses.

Your ellipses came out very smooth and confident. They're also mostly well kept in bounds, and on your funnels exercise. they're well aligned to the minor axis. You did a good job on those.

Lastly, your boxes.

On your rough perspective exercise, you did a great job on forming the boxes with confident and straight lines.

Your rotated boxes exercise also turned out very nicely. Well done.

On your organic perspectives exercise, they're mostly well done, but I do see some convergence errors here and there. However, it's not a very significant thing to worry about as on the 250 boxes challenge, you'll get many chances to practice those.

Overall, fantastic job on all of your exercises. I'll be marking this lesson as complete and you're free to move onto the 250 boxes challenge. Good luck!

Next Steps:

You're free to move onto the 250 boxes challenge.

A lot of my students use these. The last time I used them was when I was in high school, and at the time I felt that they dried out pretty quickly, though I may have simply been mishandling them. As with all pens, make sure you're capping them when they're not in use, and try not to apply too much pressure. You really only need to be touching the page, not mashing your pen into it.

In terms of line weight, the sizes are pretty weird. 08 corresponds to 0.5mm, which is what I recommend for the drawabox lessons, whereas 05 corresponds to 0.45mm, which is pretty close and can also be used.
